CMT Manufacturing
What is CMT manufacturing?
CMT stands for Cut, Make and trim. The 3 main steps in the garment production line.
Cut - The first step is cutting out of the fabric. We lay out the patterns to create a cutting marker in an economical way as to not waste any fabric. We provide each client with a cutting sheet to fill out which stipulates their cutting quantities per size, per style.
Make - once the production has been cut it is then sent over to the machinists to stitch together. We provide each client with a specification sheet of the garment which dictates the types of hems, finishes, fabric etc. so that our machinists have clear understanding of how to make the garment the way the client wants.
Trim - when the garment is completed, it will be trimmed of all loose threads and run through a quality control. This is also the stage where the finishing touches are added such as buttons, any hand tacking and then its final press.
Pattern Making
We offer inhouse pattern making and size grading services.
Sampling
Sampling is a vital step in the process as this will allow you to test your pattern, fabric and garment construction. The sample should be made in the production fabric or a fabric that is almost identical, in order to get an accurate result.
We are fully equipped to take on production from a minimum of 10 units.
We produce garments in the following styles:
-Women's wear
- Men's wear
- Active wear
- Swimwear
- Uniforms
- sleep wear
- Outer wear
Production pricing is subject to complexity of the garment and number of units produced.
